Sam Altman’s World Expands ‘Proof of Human’ Services to Six U.S. Cities
World, formerly known as Worldcoin, has launched its ’proof of human’ services in six major U.S. cities, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. The project, backed by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, aims to provide 180 million Americans access to its network by the end of 2025.
The expansion includes plans for a Visa card tailored to digital asset payments and a pilot verification program with Tinder parent company Match Group. Enrollment centers are now operational in Austin, Miami, and other key metropolitan areas.
